Mac Fasteners manufactures 200+ million aerospace fasteners a year for the aerospace and defense industries. Their main facility includes a 53k sq. ft. manufacturing operation which is home to constantly running cold heading machines. As a result, the workplace air is heavy with oil mist particulate.
The facility was relying on large Smog-Hog electrostatic oil mist collectors that weren't efficient enough to handle the volume of mist. We provided eight Blue Ox OX3500C air cleaners with oil collection assemblies.
Unlike the previous solution, Blue Ox units are small enough to be installed directly over the rows of machines and closer to the source. Because our industrial air cleaners are so cost-effective, we were able to provide more units and better results!
Blue Ox OX3500C air cleaners feature a T-pattern airflow with inlets on both ends and exhaust in the center.
These units are equipped with a dual set of micro-glass fiber disposable filters to provide more filter area and allow the unit to operate with considerably less static pressure. The lower airflow-to-filter ratio provides higher efficiency and longer life.
